It’s the time of year for carols, decorations, sweet treats and shopping chaos. Christmas is just six days away so the stores are more crowded than ever. If you waited until the last minute like so many others and are in the Philadelphia area grab your walking shoes, hop in your car (or check a SEPTA schedule) and head over to the King of Prussia mall just 20 minutes from Center City. It is the largest mall on the east coast and home to two separate buildings filled with over 400 stores, boutiques, and restaurants. If you are looking to get all of your shopping done in one location King of Prussia Mall is certainly the place to do it.
The mall is home to just about every store you can think of from staple department stores like Sears, JCPenney, Macys and Nordstrom to specialty stores like Burberry, Apple and Sephora. King of Prussia is also known for being chain restaurant heaven with every chain restaurant you can think of. Seriously, if you’re looking for a chain store or restaurant, King of Prussia mall is your place. However, I’m more than certain there is a store for everyone on your shopping list!
One other great feature of the mall may sound a bit strange to some, but it is the abundance of parking available around both The Plaza and The Court. Going to a mall on black Friday and finding a parking spot in about 10 minutes is almost unheard of anywhere else! The mall is so large that even the busiest days aren’t the nightmare you expect during the holiday season. (Just stay away from the insanity of the Apple store!)
The biggest downfall about the mall is actually it’s size. KoP mall has every store you can think of and sometimes TWO of that same store. There are a handful of stores located in both The Plaza and The Court and while that may be great for a Starbucks, it’s kind of silly for a Coach store. If you don’t have a set plan of stores to visit, you end up wasting more time walking around than anything.
