Brad and I are Married!

Brad and I are Married!

Months of planning, saving, crafting, exercising, shopping and more has all come to an end! We just got back from a completely AMAZING wedding cruise and ceremony and it was the best week-long wedding event I could ever imagine. We got to send an entire weekend with 40 of our closest friends and family, spend all day in the sun, spend all night partying, eat 4 star food AND get married somewhere in the middle of it all.

It was an awesome experience (and one of the best ideas my mom has had yet!) to get married in the middle of paradise and get to celebrate it for an entire week. So many people have told me how their entire wedding day was a blur and we got to enjoy it over and over. Everything went pretty close to perfectly and everyone had a great time. I don’t think any cruise could ever compare to going on one with 40 other people! Everywhere you went you ran into someone you knew!

Anyone who is thinking of having a destination wedding, I can’t stress what a great idea it is. I think hiring a local wedding planner is key for a destination wedding. We worked with Bermuda Bride for the planning of our wedding ceremony and dinner. I basically told them what we wanted to do and they took care of EVERY detail. We even had a change in our transportation needs the day of the wedding and they fixed it immediately without a question.

Brad and I are so grateful to everyone that was able to come and celebrate with us! You made our wedding a WEEK we will never forget!

  1. What a beautiful shot! Looks right out of a magazine! I am actually trying to plan a wedding on a cruise, do you have any advice? Where was yours at? I am still so confused on all of this. Thanks so much!

  2. Thank you Megan! We took a Royal Caribbean cruise out of Baltimore, MD and it went to Bermuda where we got married on the island. I didn’t use the cruise lines for the wedding planning because I found out they outsource the work to a company called Bermuda Bride so I went directly to them. However, both Royal Caribbean and Carnival Cruise lines are said to have great wedding planning services. My biggest suggestion is to find the cruise/location you like and the dates that will work for you and your immediate family and just to jump in and book it. It’s the most nerve-wracking part, but once you have that date set a lot of other things just fall into place. If you have any questions feel free to email me at aprilheline [at] gmail . com
