We have really enjoyed decorating our new house to celebrate the Christmas season. The weekend after thanksgiving we went and found a beautiful tree and started pulling out all the decorations. We decorated the tree with our crazy mix of old and new decorations that we have obtained over the years. As always Brad’s red wooden plane was the last ornament to go on the tree and placed at the very top.
It’s been a lot of fun buying new decorations and actually decorating our new house for the first time. We also got a beautiful new nativity scene from Brad’s dad. He got it for us when he was visiting Israel this summer. It’s made from olive wood and is really beautiful!
We also went out and bought all new outdoor lights for the new house. We had those white icicle lights for the past couple of years, but I wanted to get the big C9 lights that look like the old fashioned lights we used to have growing up. We bought a ridiculous amount of lights and outlined the entire front of the house. Brad had a few scary moments hanging the lights on the top of the taller roof because we didn’t have a ladder tall enough to reach all the way up there! All of his hard work really paid off though because I think the house looks great!
