Eight weeks from today we will be boarding the Enchantment of the Seas to sail to Bermuda for our wedding! It’s getting close to crunch time. There are a ton of things already set and even more in motion, but there is still a lot to do. I really need to get Brad to move his butt and get his tux ordered, we still need to pick out wedding bands, and I need to take a serious trip to Michael’s for all the crafts we are doing here at home!
Planning a wedding (even a small one) is seriously crazy. I really can’t believe people enjoy doing this. Seriously, I think planning a WordCamp is easier… Really! For a WordCamp you have a bunch of people who are all dedicated to planning an event and if you’re lucky (like we are here in Philly) a bunch of awesome volunteers, for a wedding you have a small handful of people if you are lucky. You also have a ridiculous amount of bs “wedding traditions” that the wedding industry has created and you must sift through and determine what you will and won’t have at your wedding.
Now that we have gotten closer to the final goal and have a pretty good plan in place I am getting more excited for the big day week! We have some fun cruise events planned for everyone as well as a really nice ceremony and dinner reception on Bermuda. There are almost FORTY of our family and friends coming and I think it’s going to be a blast!
